Montana Outdoor Science School's mission is to inspire curiosity, understanding and awareness of nature through quality educational experiences. We engage people through exploration and learning, and prepare students to care for this extraordinary place we call home.
Getting Kids Outside
MOSS offers year 'round, hands-on natural science in-school programs for grades K-8.
MOSS provides fun, educational, and quality outdoor science-based experiences. Our programs offer opportunities for all types of learners – we all understand and retain more when we learn through experiences. Each class is unique because we use the outdoors as our classroom.
For information on how MOSS can be in your child's classroom, contact MOSS Education Director, Liz Green, at email@example.com
In the spirit of adventure, excitement, and curiosity, MOSS summer programs give children the opportunity to play and learn outdoors. Programs are run by experienced and knowledgeable staff who excel at stimulating children’s natural curiosity. We believe that inspiring a love for nature helps kids become aware of, and care for, the amazing environment in which we live.

Scholarship Fund News
MOSS has recently received a generous challenge grant from the Kendeda Fund that matches contributions to our scholarship fund 1 - 1. MOSS offers full scholarships and reduced rates to children from limited means who would benefit from our summer outdoor science camps.
For $30-45 you can provide a day of outdoor science exploration to a deserving, enthusiastic, and open-minded child! $150 will give the gift of a week they will always remember.
You may donate to the scholarship fund by clicking on the green "Donate Now" button on the left of this page.
Again, for every dollar you give, Kendeda will donate a dollar. MOSS is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible. Thank you!
