Ashley Lowrey

Director

Ashley has an extensive background in land and water conservation, restoration and natural resource management. She is passionate about applying collaborative approaches to diverse local and regional watershed conservation issues and working with diverse partners to cultivate creative and community-driven approaches to supporting conservation efforts. She has worked with regional watershed groups, local land trusts, conservation NGOs, and as an environmental consultant in Montana, Oregon and throughout the intermountain West. She has a Masters of Science from the University of Montana in Environmental Science and Water Resources. Ashley worked with MOSS many years ago as a winter ecology and Nordic ski instructor in partnership with Bohart (Crosscut) and is thrilled to return in a Board capacity to continue to support MOSSs mission of inspiring curiosity and understanding of the natural world through outdoor science education. When not working or volunteering, Ashley spends her time outside with her husband and two children, hiking, running, gardening, skiing and exploring Montana’s open spaces near and far.
