Mary Sellars

American Prairie Field School Instructor

Mary grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan and Lake Superior in Wisconsin. She studied Wildlife Biology at Northland College and has worked on avian research projects in Botswana, Belize, Chile, and throughout the Great Lakes region. She is trained in Place-Based Education and has led outdoor science courses throughout Montana while working on her Master's in Science Education at Montana State University. Mary is passionate about community-led conservation and getting students excited about what is in their own backyard.
