As we celebrate the changes that each season brings, we explore science concepts by engaging students in award-winning literature that enhances hands-on exploration. The fusion between science and literature allows students to gain a deeper appreciation of reading by allowing them to apply their new knowledge to their surrounding environment. Activities that enhance their investigation include sensory awareness exploration, nature-art, and observing how seasonal changes affect plants, birds, insects and mammals of their region.
