Summer Programs

Summer Science Camps

MOSS offers 10 weeks of summer camps providing children the opportunity to learn outdoors in a spirit of adventure that stimulates their natural curiosity. For upcoming Kindergarten through 9th graders, our much loved, week-long programs focus on a variety of outdoor topics! 

  • Kindergarten camps held Tuesday-Thursday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

  • 1st - 8th grade camps held Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

  • 7th - 9th grade week-long backpacking trips available

  • Drop-off and pick-up at the Bozeman Fish Technology Center (Drinking Horse Trailhead - 4056 Bridger Canyon Drive)

Be Prepared

Your camper will have the best experience if they're prepared for everything the day brings. Our gear list can be found here. Feel free to contact us with any questions about necessary gear.

Program Expectations

On the first day of MOSS camp, instructors lead students in understanding expectations for safety and respect. If a student's behavior presents a concern for their safety or the safety and enjoyment of others, they may be removed from all or part of camp. In such cases, no refunds are issued and the student may be precluded from participating in future MOSS programs.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations made up to 31 days prior to the program start date will be refunded, minus a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be issued for “no shows,” withdrawals, illnesses, or cancellations made within 30 days of the program start date. If MOSS must cancel a program due to unforeseen circumstances or not meeting minimum enrollment, refunds will be issued to all registrants. 


Discovery Walks with GVLT

MOSS partners with Gallatin Valley Land Trust (GVLT) to offer a series of free, family-friendly pre-schooler walks in May and June.  Learn more here.
