Cris Armenta, Chair
Cris Armenta is a trial lawyer who recently moved to Bozeman, Montana from California, so that her young children could savor the joy of living in Montana. She was previously on the Board of the ACLU of Southern California, the Century City Bar Association and a constant volunteer for the Los Angeles Children Care & Development Council. She brings her legal and business expertise to MOSS. She is learning to fly fish and raise chickens.
Bill Kleindl, Vice Chair
Bill is the president of Naiad Aquatic Consultants and has been a working ecologist for over 15 years. Prior to his career as a scientific consultant, he taught high school biology. As a Board member, Bill is committed to increasing the scientific literacy of our region.
Elizabeth LaToush, Treasurer
Elizabeth is a transplanted Philadelphian who came to Montana by the way of California. She holds degrees in English and Accounting. Elizabeth has worked in travel, television, music production and catering/special events. Currently she is the Procurement Manager for RightNow Technologies. She is a contributing partner of Shoestring Murder Mysteries, has volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club, Shakespeare in the Parks and Hand Me Down Some Silver. Elizabeth joined MOSS due to her ardent desire to educate future generations about the importance of conversation and responsible resource management.
Robin S. Arnold, Secretary
Curriculum Director/Grants Coordinator, Bozeman School District #7. Robin has been very involved in outdoor education through 26 years as Curriculum Director, Grants Coordinator and Indian Education Coordinator as well as during her tenure as a science and health enhancement teacher. She implemented one of the first Trout in the Classroom projects in the Gallatin Valley, received the Montana Chapter American Fisheries Society Educator of the Year Award in 2006, and is a member of the Montana State University MSSE Program Steering Committee. She holds a B.S. in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University and a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University.

Susan Byorth
Susan is a returning Board member who served with us back in the 90s. Through her work with public schools and universities she has developed and instructed environmental education programs for pre-school through college level classes. Susan is as Program Director at Montana State University where she manages kids’ science outreach programs. She has also served as a project manager to develop online professional development projects in partnership with the National Science Teachers Association.
Barb Dahlgren
Barb is a self-described "stay at home mom" who is active in Girl Scouts and is co-chair of the Art Works Committee at the Longfellow School.
KayAnn Miller
Certified Financial Planner at First Security Bank. KayAnn has experience working with various nonprofits including Jefferson (MT) Local Development Corporation, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, American Sheep Industry Association, National Corn Growers Association, and the Ag Retailers Association. She loves the outdoors and tries to get out on a little adventure every weekend with her son.
Gregg Smith
Gregg completed his undergraduate degree in marketing at Montana State University and a Masters in Adventure Education from Prescott College in 2007. During those years he worked for a number of outdoor education programs leading teenagers on adventure travel/outdoor education programs as well as service-learning programs. For the past three years he has been running his own construction company which focuses on remodels as well as the salvage and reuse of building materials. Gregg is an avid outdoors person and a strong believer in the value of experiential education.
