Wonderful Watershed

Monday and Tuesday, October 2nd and 3rd 2017 | 9:00am - 3:30pm | $60 MOR members/$65 non-MOR members

What is special about streams and the wildlife found in and around them? Take a closer look at fish and aquatic habitats with science topics taken from the rotating MOR exhibit: Roots of Wisdom. Learn about the importance of this amazing type of ecosystem. 

Native Plant Naturalists

Thursday and Friday, October 19th and 20th 2017 | 9:00am - 3:30pm | $250 MOR members/$275 non-MOR members

If you have ever wanted to learn more about Montana's native plant species, this is your chance! Examine how native peoples utilized edible and medicinal plants and make your own teas and salves. Dissect fruits and vegetables and discover the secrets of native plants with science topics taken from the rotating MOR exhibit: Roots of Wisdom.

Snow Science

Monday, January 22nd, 2018 | 9:00am - 3:30pm | $60 MOR members/$65 non-MOR members

Come play in the snow while learning all about winter science! Get up close and personal with snow and ice and explore the science behind the season!

Wonderful Winter Animal Adaptations

Monday, February 19th, 2018 | 9:00am - 3:30pm | $60 MOR members/$65 non-MOR members

Did you know that there is a frog that freezes almost solid to survive winter and then thaws out in the spring? How do other animals survive the long, cold winter? Come learn about the wonderful winter adaptations used by animals in Montana!



Registration is open for all camps!

All campers will need the following supplies*:

  • Rain jacket
  • Healthy sack lunch
  • Water bottle 
  • 2 healthy snacks
  • An extra warm layer
  • Shoes appropriate for course activities - please include snow boots for outdoor activities, if appropriate, and a change of shoes for indoor time.  

*The weather in Montana during this time of year can be inclement and unpredictable. It is your responsibility to properly prepare your child to play and learn outside.  For the safety and comfort of the group, classes will move in and out-of-doors at the instructors' discretion.  Thank you for helping us accommodate your child's needs.     


Cancellation Policy:

Refunds are allowed up to 30 days prior to the start of a program, minus a $50 administrative fee.

No refunds will be issued for “no shows,” withdrawals, or illnesses within 30 days of the program start date. 

We do our best to adhere to program schedules.  However, if a program is cancelled for any reason, full refunds will be issued.  Under special circumstances, MOSS reserves the right deny enrollment to a student.
