21st Annual Watershed Festival & Fishing Derby
The Watershed Festival & Fishing Derby is a free annual event, currently in its 21st year, co-hosted by MOSS and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This event is dedicated to promoting awareness and responsible stewardship of the diverse natural resources found within our watersheds.
June 22nd from 9:00am - 3:00pm at the Bozeman Fish Technology Center and MOSS headquarters across from the "M" at 4056 Bridger Canyon Dr.
A FREE shuttle will be available from the fairgrounds throughout the day. Parking is limited at the festival, especially with the ongoing construction project at the M, so please take advantage of this opportunity.
The shuttle begins at 9:00 am at the Oak Street parking lot located on the North side of Bozeman Fairgrounds and arrives at the festival at 9:15 am. The shuttles will leave from the fairgrounds lot every half hour - the last shuttle leaves the festival grounds at 2:45pm and returns to the Oak Street parking lot at 3:00 pm.
We will have various exhibitor booths on site with lots of fun activities for the whole family, as well as a BBQ for lunch, face painting and lots more! Beginning at 9:30, our rubber duck derby will be running in heats every half hour with the top 3 ducks from each heat moving forward to the championship at 1:00pm with the chance to win our grand prize! Ducks are $5 each, or you can buy a Quack Pack of 5 ducks for $20. There will be plenty of volunteers on hand the day of the event to sell ducks, pre-sale is also available but not necessary. Additionally, you need not be present to win!
And don’t forget about the incredibly popular fishing derby for kids! Keep two rainbow trout from the Center's thriving fish pond - cleaned on site - all for free!
